Unveiled Day 4

Out from the fog.
The density.
The rhythms that dance in the air.
A deity appears.
A deity of the lost.
Of that which has been found.
Of the hidden.
Of the mystery.
A deity.
Of longing.
Of hope.
Of never ever.
Of all together.
Of life.
Of rest.
Of reclamation.

The deity is of this land.
Of this magic.
Space is taken.
As their electrical nature shines.
Atop their head.
Antlers.
Strewn with tethers and cords.
Fabric and paper.
Trinkets and offerings.

Among the array.
Something shimmers.
A flash of remembrance.
Recognition.
To your eyes.

The voice of the deity booms.

It is not.
That the journey.
Is difficult.
Filled with treachery and fear.
It isn’t.

It is that.
You must be willing.
To let the force of your wanting.
Your ache.
Your desire.
Break through.
The doubt.
So that.
The veils part.
And you allow yourself.
To follow.
A path.
To what you know is yours.
And that is not an easy task.

I am a keeper.
Of what was once.
And is no more.
But may be again.

You might think.
I am here to give you warning.
Of holding tight.
To that which desire.
So as not to lose.
To me and mine.
What is so precious.
To you and yours.

But those would not be my words.

Some of what is gone.
Needs to be reclaimed.
For you to understand.
The full fire.
It offers.

Some.
Falls away.
Because you cannot hold it all.
And traverse.
Through the labyrinths laid out before you.

Even the longing.
For that which is never found again.
Can fuel.
A lifetime of conjuring.
Perfect moments.

I do not offer judgments.
As to the story.
Of how and why.
What you had.
You no longer do.
I simply do not care.
The reasons for transpiration.
Are grand and intricate.
What is hope for you.
Is knowing for me.
And I know.
That there is no shame.
In standing here.
Before me.
With the ache of desire.
Blooming within you.
Asking to take root.
So that you can hold.
Once again.
What I have collected.

Though.
I will not leave here empty handed.
As you can see.
My trove is rich.
It is intended to stay that way.

You are welcome.
However.
To trade.
Something you might want.
To let go of.
Something you might want.
To hang upon my antlers.
For a moment.
Or eternity.
It will be here.
If you should ever need it again.

Choose what you are willing to offer me.
And I will give you an incantation.
To say.
To feel.
To inhabit.

Read it.
And hand what shall no longer be yours.
To me.

The deity bows their head.
A scrap of paper flutters to your hand.
The incantation written upon it.

Your quest today.
Is to name.
What it is that you are ready.
To give to the deity.
In exchange for that which you have been seeking.

Though the choice is yours.
Do not catch yourself.
In the deception of perfection.
In trying to find.
Just the right thing.
Do not get lost.
In tales of enoughness.
Or worth.
Wondering if it is good enough.
Instead.
Choose one thing.
One thing alone.
That you are ready to leave behind.
One thing.
That can be handed over.
One piece that is not of you.
But still you carry.

Then.
Read the incantation.
Follow what it offers.
That is enough.
For now.

{to make an offering to the deity}

Pull at the strings .
Of what binds you.
To what no longer sings.
You to your Self.
And your Self to the All.
Pull at the threads.
Let that.
Which can no longer be yours.
Fall to the floor.
Fall to the wild.
Hold it.
One last time.
Hold it.
And bring it close.
Hold it.
And with grace.
Place it upon my crown.
Know.
That the end has begun.

If you would like.
To share with me.
What it is you are giving to the deity.
I will personally affix it.
To their antlers.

More is coming.
More is on the way.
Until tomorrow.
Simply be with what is.
And what is no longer.

I would offer my shame I feel like I’ve grown as much as possible this lifetime with it. It’s hard to gift something that isn’t beautiful for me but maybe it is beautiful in a way.

I will add it to the antlers.
It is indeed a gift to the deity.
